Controlled Hunts 2011, Favorite hunts

My favorite hunts are Sandy Sanders and MAAP. I always select Withita Mtns 1st but I have never hunted it. You guys got any better suggestions.

They all stink, and I recommend nobody else apply for them.

I will just out of habit...but the rest of you are just wasting your time.

I agree, DO NOT apply for ANY hunts, you will not be happy, they are no fun, and you probably won't draw anyway. I especially recommend you not apply for the elk hunts.

Controlled hunts suck....nobody ever gets drawn....... Just kidding. Its all the luck of the draw

Big MAC all the way!! Hope to get drawn for Elk or Antelope but it maybe takes forever before I can get drawn.... I was really surprised that my wife got drawn for antelope last year; I put her in for antelope controlled hunt only 2 years and somehow she got drawn last year... Also I got drawn for Big Mac three years straight in row! This time, I think, I am strike out or very lucky for 4th, who knows?!

There is no shortage of deer there, but it seems they schedule the best hunts on the openening weekend of MZ season, and Gun season.

I noticed the quail hunt is no more. Darn. That is the only one I have ever been drawn for.

The others yep, waste of time. No one should bother with them.

I got lucky and was picked in the past for the Wichita Mount Wildlife refuge elk and deer hunts. Had the best hunts ever with lots of wildlife seen and took a nice elk and deer too. They were seperate years of course.
