A quick Google search turns up thousands of reports of mysterious booms all over the globe. Some theorize that these are a precursor to a super volcano eruption or massive earthquake. Myself I'm going with this video:

Never thought it was humorous though?

My maternal grandmother, who lived in BA from '46 'til her death in '89, would correct me if I called it 71st, as would most of the BA natives I knew. It's funny (to me) when BA residents call it 71st, thus the joking correction.

I guess you had to be there...
