We used to make those when I was in Jr. High. Just get some cinnamon oil and soak toothpicks in a jar.

It got so popular, that they banned cinnamon oil from our school. The oil tends to blister you skin.

I still have a jar full I made back then, about 35 years ago! The last time I tried one, a couple of years ago, they were still good.


We did that too. About 40 years ago a bottle of cinnamon oil from the drug store was about 30 cents, I think. If you tried to buy it now they would probably want to see your drivers license.

Old Phart....yep, twist. That stuff was so dry and tough you have to cut it with a knife. Unique flavor...no sugar or molasses.

Plug...Bull of the Woods. I have seen plugs, so I didn't mention them.

Happy Days(skoal) raspberry flavor long gone....football practice favorite.


By 6th grade, the phrase was.."Who wants candy or gum when you can have skoal."
