OK, to help me alleviate this feeling of being left out, out of the loop, uninformed, confused, paranoid, inculcated with naiveté, and lost in the shadows, will someone tell me what the ribbons under the avatars are, are for, and how come?

I see the ribbons. Kind of look like military ribbon bars.

- 750-

OK, can't do more than 10 images in a post, but you get the idea. The # ranges are just my guess from looking through the forum and the post counts for each member with that ribbon.
