I was taking valsartan for years then they said it caused cancer, so swithed to lisinipril and didn't like it. Then had a stroke and Doc put me on a new formula valsartan that really knocked down the BP. One thing I have learned is : if it says take with food, eat some food first.
I got one pill that will kick my ass if i don't eat first.
As a side note ; If you get your blood pressure under control, your vision may improve. The eye dr. Has lowered my prescription 3 times .
