Is El Rio Verde there at 81st & 145th?
I thought so, her brother Dex was killed in a car wreck shortly after she opened downtown. So the name seemed fitting.
El Rio Verde is a little NE of downtown. Seems like it's on Trenton? I don't pay attention; I'm just led that direction. ;-)

Yes. I know the owner of the Las Americas. He also owns a TV and radio station and several grocery stores. Good guy.
Hell, I know the owners of most of the Mexican restaurants and groceries. 95% of them are hard working, God fearing, family men. I've even taken a few of them shooting.
Is the restaurant part still open? I could have swore it was closed when I went by there earlier last year.
I had lunch with the owner there in September.
Guess I will have to swing by again. I have searched everywhere for a giant chicken burrito like they serve. And their cheese sauce is the best.
