If you haven’t noticed, if you do a in person withdrawal of any material amount, the teller, in what seems polite conversation, will ask are you buying a car. Most people will say, no, I’m buying an xxx. I’ve noticed that the last few times I withdrew any cash.

I did not look at it in deatil but I think it was any transaction in or out of your account that was $600 or more.
I've never experienced it, but doesn't the IRS already have the ability to seize one's assets? Or at least, to freeze it to where one can't access it?
Yes they can and do. They are the only ones that can zap your accounts without court approval.

Its ridiculous to track $600. I know folks that pay cash for everything. Always have because it's just what they do. Car payments and house payments can easily top 600. Student loans. Tractor loans. Good grief it goes on and on. And pay for work. Im guessing most folks make more than 600 every 2 weeks.
