It is. I had problems with my feet until 2015 when I switched to sandals. I rarely wear shoes/boots unless I'm at work.
My whole life I’ve seen overweight people buy tons of different cushion shoes and non stop talk about their arches and support they need. Then they waddle around on pillows and have foot problems their entire lives.

I wear Keen Newports almost exclusively. You can't beat them and they'll last for a few summers. I work in them, shoot in them, landscape, garden, hike, swim, etc. I'll throw some good wool hikers (like Farm to Feet) on and go hunting with them until it gets in the low 2 digits.

Second choice is Salomon XAs

I have a pair of Salomon X-Ultras that are pretty comfortable - recommended by a 7th Group Captain (now Lt. Colonel).

Honesty, the Hokas didn’t work for me. The support ridge that is between the toes and the ball of the foot landed right on the balls of me feet. Made my toes go numb. I ended up with the Cloud brand
