I know this is ancient history, but is Junior's on NW Hiway between Penn and May still open? They had some premo chow back in the day.

Thanks OKbassin, I have heard of them before from a guy at work (who is a competition cook himself), and looks to be on NW Expwy, which is where we plan to stay
The NW Expressway is the restaurant row of north OKC. You should be able to find plenty of good eating spots around there.

One place I would recommend is the Belle Isle Brewery. Good food and craft beer.

I haven't eaten there in years but Pearl's Oyster Bar was at one time one of my favorite restaurants.

A lot of the suggestions here are in that area.

If'n you want a really good specialty margarita, Uncle Julio's is your place! Pricey? Yes, but ah so good!

Their salsa is also a little bit different --- looks more brown than red. Very tasty. Has a flavor in it that I can't quite place.

.

I’ve tried going there 3-4 times. I end up diverting to Razoos at the very last minute.

Pearls has a dress code, no jeans.
Trappers on Reno, catfish platter, blackened alligator, oysters on the half shell with horseradish, lemon, and Tabasco.

Don't forget the jalapeno relish!!!

I’m not aware of a dress code in Pearls that does not allow jeans
And have been in there (on Classen) several times wearing jeans. [emoji2371]

Pearls, Trappers, and Crabtown share quite a few menus items. I like them a lot!

Yeah, I wear jeans everywhere and I've never been turned away at Pearl's.
