OK so here is what I run into, It will run a few of rounds and at round 4 or 5 ish it will FTF . both mags. This is most often but when I clear and reload it may FTF again.
Right now I am waiting to get to Wilshire and see if a longer OAL will help , and I am going to order another extractor from Numrich even if OAL does not help. The extractor will not hold the round , but I do not know if it should( more familiar with the 1911 than this gun)

Now this is what our website is all about, members helping each other. I have nothing positive to add in but I do believe the extractor should hold the round when placed by hand against the breech face. Much like a 1911 will. I know it's frustrating, but I still sounds like a fun project and I hope it works out for you.

Your pistol is marked FIE on the slide, and based on the photo's I was able to find, this is your pistol, and I also found a place to get magazine's from.

The make listed for the magazine is different from your Tanfoglio marked gun, but is the same gun/magazine.

Even though your gun is marked Tanfoglio, its still made by FIE, Tanfoglio just bought the rights to have their name stamped on the slide.

Thanks for the links and the recoil spring info!!
Will give it a shot Defcon.

Drury I have searched some as to whether the extractor should hold the round but it keeps coming back with other pistols info, need to look on a Beretta forum and see if I can glean any info from there. Defcon pointing out that it is a clone sent lights popping off in my noggin!

So finally made it to the range. Nothing has changed. Longer OAL ran great in my tcp738 and fired well out of the Tanfoglio. Still FTF nose up. Tried stretching the recoil spring like Defcon suggested.
Defcon should the extractor hold the round like the 1911 does? I can fiddle with the extractor and get it to hold the round sometimes LOL.
