I may be the odd man out along with jcizzle, but we also avoided tubes for my son by getting him adjusted at the chiropractor. About 2 weeks worth of visits better aligned his neck, which facilitated his sinuses draining better, and he hasn't had an ear infection since. It also eliminated his wheezing and coughing, which his breathing treatments were not very effective at doing.
