No lie there, far worse than anything mentioned.
Don't forget sugar. I've read that the addiction to sugar is stronger than cocaine. The US has one of the highest rates of obesity. It's not like someone will get high on sugar and cause a car wreck but, it is a national health issue.

What I wanna know is who's smoking all this stuff. There's a pot shop on every corner, and you'll even see them right next door to each other. I also noticed that the billboards advertising their prices keep getting slashed. First the signs said 300 an ounce, then 200, and I saw a billboard the other day said 100! I also heard the license fees to grow it commercially have gotten crazy, so profit margins have to be down. Way down. If production costs are going up, prices are freefalling, and there's competition lurking in every mini mall, I mean how do they all make money? When you stop and think about the sheer volume of weed that's being smoked to support all these places it's mind boggling.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. The OK marijuana authority is a drug cartel, and if you do the math there's no other explanation than most of the card holders being straight up drug dealers. I also think a lot of it has to be going out of state. I know up until recently Texas had pretty restrictive medical laws. I think dudes with cards were driving their limit of like eight ounces down to the Texas border and meeting up with some homeboys there to flip it for probably double or more. I mean, even if they got pulled over on I35 there's nothing the cops could do about it, as long as they stay in the state. So if you're driving like eight ounces of pot from OKC to Texoma, and doubling your money, that's gong to be like a grand for roughly six hours of work, if you can call it that. Do that seven days a week and holy smokes! Good luck explaining that to the IRS.
Why would you have to explain that to the IRS? There is no W-2 reported for those wages do ya' think?

Well you can't spend the money if you don't find some way to report it. Most people in that situation make a fake business.
You can't spend the money? Why can't you spend the money? What in the world has that got to do with reporting it to the IRS? They don't keep track of what you spend.

Oh yes they do! If you're living a 200 grand a year lifestyle on a 10 grand salary they're going to notice that. You can't use it to buy a house, car, or anything like that unless you find some way to launder it as legitimate income and report it and pay taxes on it. I mean you could spend it on hookers and blow I guess...

I could spend $200K a year on this site alone! :D

There are a lot of used cars sold by individuals and you can rent a crib or live in a hotel.

not sure but i know people that have a card that have bought firearms. kind of like buying booze and owning a car. can not do either under the influence shoot or drive.
This is where the biggest issue lies with MMJ. Cars and alcohol are not Federally illegal. That argument is worn out and not close to the point. But when you have a card and knowingly lie on a 4473, you've committed a felony. Attempting to purchase a firearm illegally is a felony. Taking possession of a firearm in contrary to Federal requirements is another felony. That's three just buying it. I'm not saying I agree with the rules iin place, but they are just that, the rules. If it's okay to skirt this one because nobody gets hurt, then other crimes that no one gets hurt would be, by that definition, moral as well. Until Federal law changes it's an either/or proposition.

So, you think the IRS spends time comparing what someone makes to what someone is spending? They are not even able to audit the tax returns they are supposed to audit.
