... who also have a Pikepass.

The lady at the tag agency told me to just keep the little box in my jacket pocket or a saddlebag. I'm riding a Triumph Scrambler with a high exhaust pipe and can't use saddlebags, so I put it (the pikepass device) in my jacket pocket.

Except, when I rode on the Creek Turnpike, it never showed up on my statement. I also did not get a bill in the mail (you know, with the picture of your tag and all).

Where do you keep your pikepass device? Also, I don't have a fairing/windscreen, so I can't use the suction cups to put it there, either.

I usually left mine at home. On the rare occasion it actually picked my bike up they had my tag number to link to my account. I never got my pike pass to work reliably on my bike in any of my bags. They said it had to do with the metal flake in the paint.

Mine is in a front pocket of the bike. Works great. What baffles me though, is it is still a large old type one. Why don't they have a small one for the bikes??

Mine is in the windshield bag also. No problem with it being picked-up when going through the toll booth. Just guessing but I think the old style Pikepass is needed because of the windshield material on motorcycles is different than auto glass.

Leave it at home. On a bike, if you ride the center stripe as you go through, it wont detect you at all nor will the cameras go off. True story.

Interesting.
The few trips I've made on the turnpike with my FJR have resulted in the Pikepass not being detected (chest pocket of riding jacket). Can't say for sure if we got something in the mail or not.

the new ones work on bike windshield they just don't handle the elements so well, I have one of the new style stuck onto a small chunk of plexiglass and it has worked for years now.

Have you tried using the suction cups on your helmet? hehe

Seriously, I don't know why no one has come up with a way to attach it to your helmet. I guess there's a chance that the new Sticker type pike pass that they have now would work perfectly if you took the padding out of the helmet and stuck the Pike Pass sticker to the inside of the helmet shell, put your padding back in and go on your way. I mean really, the sensors don't have eyeballs to "See" the pike pass, so there's nothing magical about the windshield being "See through". I have mine mounted in my motorcycle dash under a layer of windscreen and a layer of bodywork and it works perfectly. I don't know why it wouldn't work inside the helmet unless bending the sticker is an issue. I've torn down many football helmets and pulled out the hard styrofoam, but I've never tried to remove the styrofoam from a motorcycle helmet. It may not come out. even if it didn't I think it would be worth testing, by temporarily putting the sticker under the padding to see if it worked.

The stickers have to be stuck to a somewhat flat surface, I guess if someone has an old style pike pass they could just make a necklace out of it and wear around their neck.
