Criminal Defense Attorney. Wishing it into existence would REALLY come in handy seeing as it would allow me to circumvent that pesky bar exam that's looming this July.

Why that profession? Because I like the idea of making the government meet its burden of proof before someone can be convicted. I subscribe to the notion that it's better for ten guilty men to go free that it is for one innocent man to be convicted.

Besides, the criminally accused have the best stories.

Military officer. That's what i'm working towards now.

Because i want to look back on my life and say i spent it doing something worthwhile besides sitting at a desk all day.

I hope you're not going into the career with the assumption that you won't spend a lot of time behind a desk? I'm not knocking being an officer, seeing as I am one, but there's a lot more "flying a desk" than one would think.

I'd be a pilot. Something new everyday. Very respectable, pays decent, you're still sitting but not in an office.

Would you be ok with being on the road a lot? Just wondering. When it came time to make the decision to use my GI Bill benefits on aviation certs or law school, I chose law school. I'm getting too old (and I've spent too much time away from home already) to chase a job that keeps you on the road that much.

I don't doubt it, but one of the main reasons I wanted to join the military was family tradition. The officer route just seemed the "smarter" route to go
