Despite being a Tarantino film, "Pulp Fiction" is one of those "holiday classics" we watch every Thanksgiving. "Pulp Fiction" and "Silence of the Lambs" are very inspirational.

Damn, I thought life was good with "The Sound of Music" and "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown". I could actually stay awake at MadDogs house.

Ah yes, gather the family around the big screen TV and watch Marsellus Wallace get sodomized. Do you watch Deliverance at Easter?

Instead of looking at "Pulp Fiction" as a film about building interpersonal communication skills, as a classic battle of good vs. evil or about the joys of "blueberry pancakes" you have to go straight (no pun intended with you) to butt sex.

Of all the classic movies I have never seen, “Deliverance” is one of them. Just have never got around to seeing it or “Happy Gilmore” either.

Some of the best advice given on here. Because remember like on this forum some will have their own spin to put on the facts and may not be looking for an unbiased reading of the truth

Man, you've certainly come out guns blazing as a "new" member. I'll bet.

I'll make certain not to take any NRA classes in your neck of the woods, on the off chance I'd end up with an instructor as abrasive as you.

<edit> Then again, my views on the NRA alone would probably preclude me from taking anything they sponsored, anyways. Welcome to the site, "new guy". lol

While all you dopes are celebrating, the 18yo was a friend of our family.

He came from a good home, but low income. He started acting out his Senior year in HS, and moved out of the house with the arrested girl.

Definitely made poor choices and suffered the ultimate punishment.

His mom was on the phone with my wife this morning, overcome with grief.

We will tell our 18yo son this weekend. He and the deceased used to be good friends.

Not much to celebrate here imho.

Sorry to hear that. If you don't mind my asking, what do you think caused him to turn to crime? Was it drugs, peer influence, the girl? Did your son quit being friends with him because of the changes he underwent his senior year?

I'm just wondering if there were signs that might help some other family avoid a situation like this.
