While I understand where you are coming from his free will did harm to innocents that had nothing to do with his illness, or issues, or whatever you want to call it.

That is my problem with "God" and all this "free will" **** -- the inevitable bleed over onto others. If we ARE created in some God's likeness I'm about as impressed with him as I am most people. And yes, I'm standing right next to the rowboat to Hell, with one foot in it.

And I really wasn't trying to turn this into a religious discussion, so let me apologize for making a statement that I know those folks with more faith and conviction than me might find troublesome. My only excuse is I'm just tired of people, in general. I need to go find something else to do while I'm waiting on this bone stimulator to get done. It's just kinda awkward to move around it.

Personally I think not a damn thing should be said or released for at least 48 hours after an incident like this.

Sure, have a press conference, release relevant public safety information like whether there is still a threat or the shooter is dead/in custody etc...but keep the yaps shut about everything else until some kind of picture comes into focus.

Re: The "note". This is a classic case of interpretation and viewer bias. Did you see a note? Or did you see what looks like a pen and a piece of paper/note pad, something that is present in every hotel I've ever checked into, and extrapolate that into the presence of a note?

Yes, that would be excellent for letting things calm down a bit, however, if the media feeding frenzy wasn't nourished then they (the media) would scream about transparency and withholding evidence [from them].

Also, when the camera had been found [by staff] it would have drawn them back to his room immediately. As I said in a previous post, his actions seemed so well planned out . . . except for this.

Thanks, guys!! I appreciate it. Just wanted my devout religious friends (whom I have much respect for) that I wasn't trying to stir up a hornet's nest. I'm pretty sure they already know that but it doesn't hurt anybody's feelings to remember to acknowledge other's beliefs as valid, even if you can't necessarily identify with those beliefs yourself.

I let myself get sucked up into a ton of BS here once a long time ago. There's a fella or two who would like to light that **** back on fire but I've learned from my experiences with them. I'm perfectly happy being happy here. There's not a single one of you guys I chat with (and argue with sometimes) I wouldn't move heaven and earth to help if it was in my power.

He had another camera fitted to the peep hole in the door. He was equipped with back up plans.

You a nut job with that kind of money could have easily bought a high end drone or two and dropped serious explosives into the crowd then drones would be outlawed. Any nut job can attack a crowd , using trucks, bombs , firearms, etc..... if you ban one thing they will devise another method.

That is a proven fact. The truck in Nice killed more people than this guy did.
