Hmmm... didn't Russia also land on the moon?

Sure they did. They're just too humble to brag about it.

Two kinds of countries in the world ,those that use the metric system and those that have been to the moon
Ha! I used to be the same way. Then I went to work in a machine shop that did EVERYTHING in metric. Blueprints, CNC programs, measuring tools, everything... The math is so much easier being a factor of 10. You'd also be amazed at how much aerospace is based in metric. Like, all of it? It's a simple matter to have the computer switch all the numbers to print out blueprints, but the design is done in millimeters.

Now I will still make a sailor blush when wrenching on a car and have to have two sets of tools. :grumble: Why don't they just pick one and go with it already! Jeesh...

The first time I went to Montreal on business, I was halfway listening to the news that night and they were forecasting 20 cm of snow overnight. All I heard was snow and 20. I've hated the metric idea ever since.
