We used to stop in the stores from Phoenix to San Diego on road trips west years ago. They were really good at the time.

I was spending a lot of time in Allen when they opened the store there, to me it wasn't the same. If you go a mile south on 75 there is a great burger place called JC's that to me is much better.

If you are in the Dallas area though, the BBQ is what you need to be eating, a lot of good choices...

The In and out burgers seem to be consistently good in California, not so much in Texas.I prefer the burgers at Johnnies in El reno or J&W grill in Chickasha to all others. The sweet slaw on the coneys is what I would want for my last meal.

Fat guys used to be my absolute favorite restaurant, but I quit going after the last price increase. Wings literally went from 9.99 to 13.99 over night, and they charged us $2 for a piece of bacon cut in half to "add bacon" to our burger. I do kinda have a craving for it now that i'm talking about it, but it just got way too expensive for what it is. Those wings are PHENOMINAL

I never cross my food groups. If I go to a burger joint, I get a burger. If I go to a pizza joint, I get a pizza. If I want wings, I go to Wing Stop (BWW sucks). Plus I live not even half a block from the BA Fat Guys, so I could walk there. Though now that I carry I do miss having my beer with my burger.

What I really like about In and Out is when I order onion on my burger I get a thick slice of really good onion added. Not just some measly sprinkling of chopped up bits.

You're missing out....try the wings with a nice cold 32oz beer. Thats the best part of that place. Get a big ass beer for like 10 bucks. Plus if you eat anything other than a regular burger from there, you're crossing some sort of food group LOL

Yeah, I can agree with that lol. My usual is basically a mushroom swiss: Double meat with swiss cheese, sauteed mushrooms and onions with no condiments. I used to get the Sourquench Ale, but now just get a soda and an order of fries with the garlic onion aioli.

If you're in TX, especially the Dallas area (I've eaten at the one in Temple, too), you need to stop at one of the locations for Twisted Root Burger Company.

Not kidding. DO EEEET.
