He can just be glad he didn't put a round through his tailgate.

A while back, I heard of folks stealing the tailgates off of pickups. Some were saying that the replacement would be like $1500. Just think of how much the new tailgates on the pickups with the fancy, smancy multi-functioning step would cost to replace.

My F450 with the old style step would be bad enough.

It happens.

I've seen a few creased hoods.

Destroyed a cheap sand bag with cylinder/barrel gap myself.

YEARS ago on my dad's very first deer hunt with a scoped rifle, a couple rounds went into the dirt mound in front of him before he figured out the barrel was a couple inches lower than line of sight. Buck never moved and he finally got it.
