Do you really believe what the media says?
I believe what I saw with my own eyes in the video clip of that performance. My granddaughter was in gymnastics and I can tell you that this sport, like many other sports, is as much psychological as it is physical, even more so while under the pressure of competition. That she lost her concentration resulting in a bad landing is a very real hazard.

She's 24yo, seasoned, multiple Olympic experience and world championship experience. None of it makes sense. Athletes like her thrive in pressure situations like that, the more there is on the line the stronger they are. I think something else is up with her, something other than what's being reported.
And 'seasoned' competition shooters occasionally miss their target, and 'seasoned' law enforcement officers sometimes make mistakes in the field, and 'seasoned' Olympic athelets have off days. That's called reality 🤔

I'm in no position to judge her, I'm not walking in her shoes right now so I can't.

The level she competes at, and the pressure of that is not something I have ever had to deal with, nor that fact that the Team "Doctor" molested her, and USA Gymnastics and the FBI looked the other way.

It's pretty easy for some of you to call her a quitter, and throw down some harsh criticism it seems.

She quit on the team and took a spot that someone else could have filled. No sympathy for her. She was good at the last Olympics, prove it this one or quit yer *****in
Do they have alternates in case someone is injured and can't participate? Or does that ship sail once the olympics have started? :anyone:

She quit too close to the event to be replaced. There are alternatives, but I'm going out on a limb here and betting she didn't have one. I don't know that for sure so don't take it as gospel.

Seasoned competition shooters don't show up, warm up, try a few shots and quit......

"Off days" don't occur if you don't compete lol. Compare apples to apples.
