Here, but occasionally There.
Now ya see, I don’t get to witness this kind of craziness up here in the Panhandle.

Sometimes it is a bit more peaceful up here…

Time was (back in the '80's the last go-round), things were a LOT more peaceful up there. But then, we were further out and Guymon was an occasional trip, usually for parts for some farm implement.

I get a kick out of telling folks that a good part of the Panhandle is treeless. Here's a shot of the great metropolis of Slapout.

And then, further west than even Guymon, which is west of Slapout.

But then, that last photo makes me a liar. There is something of a tree in the bar ditch.

As for Walmart, the wife and I shop there quite a bit, especially so when we are out on the road doing our Summer work gig. Walmart is also a pretty good place for bathroom stops while working. It's one place that we don't feel guilty for entering, using the rest room, and then leaving without buying something.

Desire to know more intensifies.

The older I get the less patience I have with weirdos.
Not all Wal-Marts are the same. I prefer to shop at small-town ones if I can, you'll find far less hassle and weirdos.
Same here. I did go into the Shawnee Walmart thinking it would be small-townish when we went out there to pick up a puppy a lady was selling, but it was more full of freaks than my local walmart. I guess even the small towns aren't safe from the mental mania anymore.

My wife grew up around Shawnee; I can assure you the freaks are indigenous to that area.

FTR, my wife and her family are very non-freaky...which almost makes them freaks by local rules.

I stopped at the Shawnee WMart several years ago to pick up AA lithium batteries for my cameras on the way up, and I swore I wouldn’t stop there again. I thought east TX had the corner on the inbred freak market. :rollingla

At least the Claremore Walmart is on the verge. The wife had to buy some canning jars and she said it looked like Black Friday in there and that riots could break out anytime.

And this young lady was heading into the store.
