I got my letter today. I turned in my paper work on August 15th. So it took about 77 days. My letter was dated Oct. 10th and post marked Oct. 27th. So I guess they sit in a pile somewhere for a few weeks before mailing them off.
Update: I called the Tulsa sheriffs office to verify my permit was there and they said they have not received the latest batch of permits yet, kind of bass ackwards from what I have been reading on this post.

My card was charged on Aug 18th.

I picked up my permit today! Only a couple of days delay from the OSBI letter until the sheriffs dept. got the latest batch in the mail. Now, time for the Walmart walk I have been hearing about. So, can I only get cheese nachos or can I pick up a few other items I might need? I dont want to break any of the CCW rules on my first run.

Why can't we live in a state that has instant CCW permits... :(

I turned my stuff in Oct. 21....got a letter the other day stating..."you indicated on your application that you were born outside the United States. Please provide us with the following

1 current OK drivers license(copy)
2 [/I]Copy of your Immigration and naturalization papers showing proof of U.S. citizenship.

If you were born out of the country and your parents were U.S. citizens, check here _____

sign and date 11/03 08

I faxed OKDL, and Certificate of birth a-broad(j/k) and yes I am a citizen....However I don't have INS papers as I am a citizen....I wonder how long this will hold things up? And if that is sufficient proof? The only other things I have are social security card and dd214:soldiers:
