Rich bastids, the lot of ya. I have yet to buy a new vehicle! It's mostly burrows and pedal cars for me.
I have bought one new vehicle in my life. The current 2016 Tundra. All the others had the new worn off of them, but when I retired, I said I was going to buy one new vehicle in my life and that would be it. Did it.

I've heard those F-150 gassers are the bees knees.
I bought the Tundra not for the mileage, but because it is a proven engine and drive line over the years and all my Toyota's have gone over 300,000 miles. Well over 400,000 now with the guy I sold the Tacoma to.
The F150 with the turbo's leaves me with some questions about how many miles those hi temp bearings in the turbo's may last.
I keep searching the internet for how many miles some of the engines have ran, and it's like zero information out there.
I keep vehicles for 10 years or more.

I had a 2003 f350 6.0, That truck "when" it ran right was a baddass!! Keeping it right was putting me in the poor house!!
My Tundra .. upkeep, brakes, tires and oil!! Oh yeah , gas ,lots of gas LOL

Tons of info...... lots of them well over 100K..... f150ecoboost.net & f150forum.com. Nothing wrong with a Tundra.

I've been a Ford Guy all my life. Still am. Love the line.
My wife said WTF when I bought the Tundra after a 351,000 mile record with a tacoma after a 300,000 + stretch with a Ford Bronco. We bought a 36' RV bumper pull RV upon retiring. The Tundra does a great job pulling on flatland. Drive line specs far exceed the F150.
The mountains may offer a different challenge.
A diesel may be in the future.

I was a Ford guy until they abandoned the faithful 7.3. I went to Cummins. Since then I've heard nothing but good about Fords most recent diesel. I guess there's plenty of folks willing to step up to a diesel if they need it cuz I often wonder why there is no gas motor that could compete with the ol 454 and 460.

One thing that I forget to add on the Prius-it has amazing passing capabilities-a lot of power in that regard. It WILL keep up with other cars on the road and you can go 80 all day long and laugh as you pass the gas stations. One tank of gas will take you to San Antonio without refueling! And when you do fill up the tank, take a look at the amount the previous person at that pump paid for a fill up. Some of those trucks as you probably know cost over $50 to fill. think of the money you could save so you could buy a nice gun!
