This story is being picked up everywhere. There is a story in the Boston Globe that focuses on Breiter's co-author Jodi Gilman. She's a brain researcher with no actual medical credentials (Ph.D in psychology).
The language in the Globe is even more equivocal than that in the O.P.
Of course the headline is all anyone will remember.
This is your brain on drugs.

As Rick said, the details will be published in a medical journal later this week.
What we know now is that the man who ran the study calls it a pilot study with a SMALL sample group.
The guy who ran the study says that it COULD mean that marijuana may cause some cognitive impairment for some as yet undetermined period of time in some subjects.
Maybe we'll know more tomorrow.
This sounds like fishing for additional grant money to me.
