I have a couple of hang on stands and have always used the cheap screw in steps which can be a pain sometimes if you want to get really high up there. Hunted with some people at MCAAP who all had the steps that came in either 3-4 ft sections and was so jealous about how quickly the could hang a stand.

Anyways, can you guys recommend some good climbing sticks?

I'm glad you started a post on these I have thought about buying some for public land where you can't use the screw in steps, last year one of the guys at the Salt Plains told me they didn't allow screw in steps. I've looked at Bass Pro and Cabelas and some of the lightweight steps are a $120 to $160 for 3-4 sections but they only weigh around 11 lbs. I have a light Locon stand I like to pack in if I'm walking in 2-3 miles to hunt an area those steps would be perfect for that.
