I get it at Costco.
I saw pork belly's on the futures market were cheaper than since the 50's or something. Will bacon and belly's go down in price at retail? Pork belly's at Costco are the same price pretty much as cured bacon.
Most butcher shops can order it as well.

I got mine at Costco. This one was marked $2.99/lb, but it's been in my freezer for a year, literally. It was dated in mid-April 2019. I don't know what the prices are running now.

Ever do your own bacon?

Yes, I have. I like it, but slicing properly is a problem, and the fact it doesn't get crispy is a problem. It tastes great, but the texture is more like ham. I believe it is from hot smoking and not cold smoking, something I haven't undertaken yet. But I don't know that for sure.

I got a slicer from someone, and it's a nice one, but I can't take it apart to clean it, so I never used it again, as it took me over an hour to clean properly. So I said eff it.

Tonight's dinner, unstuffed cabbage roll.

I never noticed how yellow the light has gotten in our kitchen until now. Trying out a new camera my sister gave me. My old one died and another I was given did not work so she gave me a cheapy for fixing her PC. Still have to set the date on it.
