I have "thought" about it, but that's as far as I got. I just never have been a fan of public hunting. I've never actually done it but private land seems safer and like maybe it'd have a higher chance of success. But like I said I've never tried public land so I wouldn't know for sure.
I am looking for something within 30 minutes, actually within 15 minutes. If I drive an hour to go hunt somewhere public, I might as well drive 30 more minutes and go home to hunt. I would like somewhere close because of time convenience with class. I would love to wake up, do a few stands, go to class, do a few more stands right before dark. Being a senior and having a year left, if I'm lucky, I guess I should've started asking around when I was a freshman. O well better late than never.
