I was admittedly a little cranky yesterday. Me and the family were talking and daylight savings got brought up. My son asked “why do we move the clocks back an hour now and then move them back forward in the spring?” I said something to the effect of “because government hates you. The one thing we can all agree on (unless you’re a terrorist) is that daylight savings is an obsolete idea and no one wants it anymore. Yet the powers that be refuse to change this nonsense but instead do everything they can to make our lives miserable. Government hates you!” He said “they’re stupid”. Almost brought a tear to my eye.
