Here is good read on hemp growing.
http://www.madehow.com/Volume-6/Industrial-Hemp.html

Hemp processing is only done in the South East of the USA (1 or 2 Plants)
Local C0-OP are not buying Hemp Bales.
(Looks like you would have to ship it to SE USA)
And they try to sell them.
It seems that Hemp Seeds (Grain) is the only market in the USA.

Not surprising considering it has been outlawed in the US since almost forever. The fiber industry/market could come back but I wouldn't bet the farm on it till it actually does.

Bamboo can be used for almost everything hemp can and its legal to grow in the US. Bamboo grows faster and will just grow back when harvested.

Well, at least the gov finally found a way to tax weed.
That's how the whole thing got started--marihuana (the accepted spelling at the time) tax stamps, like on cigarettes and liquor today. Then they quit issuing the stamps, making possession de facto illegal. Then, later, we got the Controlled Substances Act and it's friends.

Here's the thing. The first couple of years the money will be great, just like you say. Word will get out then every Tom, Dick and Harry will be planting hemp. There will be a huge amount of crop so prices will fall like a brick. Look at ostrich and emu farming. Uber nice farms were popping up everywhere. When it caught on and got trendy, it just died monetarily speaking.
I dont think the ostrich thing ever had the market support fully in place. Hemp is a world wide commodity and is produced world wide. Our little addition to the product flow wont make a huge dent in that market.
