Grand lake questions.

Just got back from Grand lake .. spent 3 nights there at Lees Resort.
Nice people around the resort and nothing was stolen from vehicles or the boats or anywhere.
Free breakfast every morning if you are a guest there.
Scrambled eggs and sausage patties hash browns and biscuits and gravy and some mixed fruit.

Now on to the fishing.
I only ran 10 jugs and would check them every few hours and get 5-7 fish each time.
Blues and a couple channel cats.
I just set them out in the water right by thee resort.

Small shad will pollute the surface of that area at night.
drive the boat at night and shad flicking up and making the waters surface come alive.

But larger fish were caught on larger shad and on cut up blue cat.
Yes i sacrificed some of my catch.
I did not even try hot dogs or even try to fish for sun fish.

Limited out each day pretty easy and more fillets than we could eat.
The family i went with can eat.

Sounds like you had a great weekend. Our lake house is only about a mile from Lee's Resort. I know that area very well and we do really good on jugs and amazing on White bass up by the Elk River bridge.
