Hung a Hummingbird Feeder Today

Anybody else? Weather is warm and I got to thinking - maybe the little guys might be here soon.

In the Enid area I have normally waited until late April to hang them? May first is earliest I've seen them in my yard. Have I been possibly waiting to long?

I've got mine ready. It was in March last year that I saw the first one. Given the temps lately, it could be sooner this year. I hope not, though. Little beggars might be in for a cold surprise.

I've had one feeder out for a week now and nothing.

The snakes are out and about in the warm weather but the hummingbirds go strictly by the calendar I guess.

The wife put ours out last week, so far no hummers

Granma's 97 on apr 7, she said thats the day they've always showed up, on her bday. Thats also the day we hang ours.

I saw a hummingbird yesterday sitting on the feeder that hung dry all winter. I took it down and cleaned it got to get some sugar to fill it. I just love sitting in my chair here at the computer desk and watching them little buggers.
