Nice find guys. I looked yesterday while chasing a cow and calf back to the correct side of the fence. Saw 6 pigs, but all I had was my knife.

Surprisingly these were pretty much in the open as far as morels go. I usually gravitate to the downed and decaying trees, but I stumbled on this patch nowhere near anything like that.
I can buy that. I found a couple a few years ago on a pond dam without a tree in sight. Looking back on this thread, they were false morels. We did eat them, but they were cooked.
