Morels

I haven't had my hands on Morels since I was a kid....Man I love those things.
Anyone ever deep fry Dandelion flowers?... about as close to the same taste that I can remember.

My brother-in-law and I have found and harvested over 500 this year. Went turkey hunting last Sunday and it turned into a morel hunt. Found 75 that day. Do them like a chicken fry and they are very tasty.

Found 120 more last evening and put them in the dehydrator. Going back this afternoon.

Dang it! Glad you guys are finding some, I looked again today, nada in all the spots where I've found them in the past...and note to self and a public service announcement, don't go hunting for morels in shorts and tennis shoes

Ticks, ticks and more ticks, itty bitty tiny ticks, oh and a few chiggers, and some poison ivy, thankfully I don't ever seem to get poison ivy, knock on wood.

When the poison ivy leaves start to sprout, I'm outta there. Not as allergic to them as I used to be, but the memory's still haunt me. Seems the shrooms like to grow around them in my area anyway. We got a little shower today that came down from Kansas, so I'll get back out and do some looking.
