Want To Buy Old ugly functional lever gun

I'm after a lever action rifle.... and I'm on a $200 - $300 budget. It's a project I'm doing for a friend of mine.

I dont care if it's a Rossi, or a Winchester, Blued or stainless, pristine or beat to hell. As long as it functions and fires. Wood or synthetic stock dont matter either. I am not picky as you can tell, just on a tight budget and the cheaper the better. Heck it can even be that gun that "someone" got and stored in a zipper case to long and has some surface rust.

I'm after mainly a 30-30, but if someone has a clunky old rossi in 357, 44 or 45lc that is in need of a lot of love, I might even take that or a 35 Remington heck of a long shot there tho....

A guy at the Tahlequah gun show had an decent lever 30-30 for $275, today. It was the only thing in the whole show that I really considered picking up, but I really didn't need it.
