1) Like Thor, I find a good "rain" background sound to be very helpful. Lots of YouTube videos of background rain are available.
2) I'm retired, which makes my situation a bit different.
3) My dear wife is a "morning person" who sleeps from 9pm to 5am, but I am a "night owl" and I do my best work from 10pm to 3am.
4) The Army taught me to get sleep whenever possible, but that was a half-century ago. And that habit is long gone. :burnout:
5) I've never required much sleep, so 4-5 hours (generally, somewhere between 3am and 9am) is all I actually need. However, I must keep strictly to that schedule 7 days a week or I'll require multiple daytime naps to "recharge the batteries." Not convenient for me or Wifey, and - for some obscure reason known only to the Deity - Daisy (the Basset) is unamused when I nap.
