Now see this is what I'm talking about. Bush was a moderate. No child left behind, bailouts, prescription drug entitlements, NSA spying, etc.
More important than what is a moderate is how do we get polar opposites to work together? If we can't find the answer to this question our nation is doomed.
We can pound our collective chests all we want, but government is a lot like a successful marriage, theirs going to have to be some compromise.
First you identify real problems. Then solve or remedy them one at a time. You only have gridlock and real problems when 2 sides cant agree. If you have gridlock, nothing gets addressed or solved. When you have gridlock you get Obamacare.
Exactly! And quite honestly, most of the country wanted healthcare insurance reform. By ignoring this the republicans failed to participate and contribute to the bill. Now we have a pile of crap that isn't helping anyone.
