Wow Super Dave, that chicken looks good...We have 3 dutch ovens ourselves and I believe the smallest is also a 10 inch...I'm thinking I need to try the roasted chicken myself..thanks for the idea..

Thanks!!! It was easy. Rinse out bird, stuff with rosemary and half an onion (that you quartered earlier). Stick it in the pot, salt and pepper, put in the rest of the onion and four or five carrots. Do this while the coals are getting ready. I did it on "high heat" which is hopefully around 400. I used five coals on bottom several around the sides, and a ring of them around the top edges, and four to six in the middle. Takes an hour, give or take. I think the chicken was four lbs. It was a free range, no hormone bird from Oklahoma. Juicy! You could do the same thing with less fire, and more time, but we were in a hurry!

I have never used out biggest one. I think it is a 17 or 18 incher, and deep. You could fit a whole family in that thing.
