My vast and wide array of experience with crazy women can be of service here...
She was trying to tell you that she doesn't have any plans, but she's crazy so that won't do. Really she had to say something more because she's very upset about it and that you even had the nerve to ask. This is truly due to the fact that she's a carzy woman and men usually spend all of 5 minutes listening to her blather before they tune out and walk away. She, however, blames it all on the fact that she's committed to her career as a handy excuse for not dealing with the sad reality of herself. She actually took offense to it because she is insecure and felt as though you might even be poking fun at her for being fat and ugly. This is her own assessment of herself and would be that way no matter how skinny and pretty she was because that's how crazy woman think. Beyond that, she likely is a cat lady in training or at least a cat lover and so she associated the nine lives and incredible "landing on their feet" ability that cats possess in an attempt to assume them into her own false self esteem and therefore feel better about herself and pretend that it doesn't hurt her that she doesn't have plans and you made fun of her.

i was already ticked that he rang the doorbell so I proceeded to ask him if he was impaired or just stupid, then I told him that I was on to his scam and he better move on to another neighborhood. He was smart enough to kick in to a high speed walk out of the area(I followed him in my truck...).
No problem. The beer helps, trust me.

Then he awkawardly sniffled on my behalf to make me seem not insane. Nice effort. Being human is hard. No plates like chrome for the Hollandaise.
