Because they were not soldiers, they were normal towns people he made go attack the prison with him. I was surprised he took them all out like that though. So now he is on the run with his only 2 men left. Woodberry will be empty if he ever returns & now the prison can be heavily fortified. More people to stand watch, farm, scout, ect... Rick's group actually has a better chance at survival now. Those people from Woodberry never wanted any trouble. they were just tryin to live, it was the Governor manipulating them into believing Rick's group wanted to kill them all.
Carl is changing for the bad, Rick better get a handle on him quick or he will be a dangerous one to the group.
They certainly need a weapons expert for consultation. The ending where Andrea is pleading for the use of Rick's revolver and she note's "I know where the safety is." ??? And in the suspenseful moment when the door is shut, leaving Michone with Andrea to shoot herself with Rick's revolver, we hear a shot ring out quickly followed by the sound of a brass shell hitting the floor. Come on, that stuff drives me crazy.
That was the revolver hitting the floor. She dropped it when her brain exploded and she lost control of her hands.
Well said been. And she said, "I know how the safety works," which was a reference to recurring interactions Rick and Andrea had, starting with there first encounter in season 1. It wasn't meant to say his revolver had a safety, but that she understood the gravity of the situation, and her responsibility.
It was a great finale, but I can't help but notice stupid things. One was I thought brass had hit the floor after she shot herself, the other is the car that Merle took. In all but one scene it had some 22" wheels on it, but one scene where it drove across the screen by itself, it had the factory wire hubcaps on it. Has anyone noticed the guns never have any recoil?

Looked like Hershel sh*t down his one good leg when Carl shot that kid. I'd say Rick needs to beat Carl's a** before he gets too out of hand.
Sure sounded like a cartridge hitting the floor and not the gun, but either way, nitpicking for me, it was a good episode.
