I’ve always used duck tape. But last year I got it out of my truck to fix something and didn’t put it back in the truck. I had nothing so I took of my sock and wrote on it with a sharpie.
I had a friend on government that had that problem onceI use a laminated gun club business card with my name and info on it and put it in the mouth of the deer. Won't go anywhere. grease pencil for the day and date.
Saw a couple of stories of folks hunting that had to hike a ways to get their deer carts or something and when they got back, somebody else had tagged their animal.
Big argument and even with the GW called, he had to give up his buck as they had properly tagged it.
Did they change that? I thought you used to have to have a tag in place till you got the animal home or to the processor, regardless. If you have a cell signal you can just e-check your animal on site and forgo the field tagging non-sense.
