It increases your MPBR from around 70 yards +/-, to around 120 yards +/-, on small critters; more on larger. Makes more noise; costs more. They each have their place .22lr and .22 mag are both two of my favorite rounds, for their own advantages. If I made a list of my top 10 favorite rounds, both would be in the top ten and both would probably be in the top 5. Both are extremely versatile.

Yeah, the Heritage is fun. But I don't do .22 mag or .17 HMR revolvers - too loud. The Kel-Tec PMR-30, however, is another story - I'm gonna be on that like a duck on a june bug.

A pistol with interchangeable cylinders is fun too. Like one of the Heritage single actions that come with 22LR and 22Mag cylinders. Shoot cheap 22LR most of the time but still have the option of 22Mag if you want.

I would like to have one of the S&W pistols with interchangeable cylinders.
