Alone vacation suggestions? Dang, this sucks...

I've been single for a LONG time. and I didnt want to be single in the first place. I understand exactly what you are feeling.

Cruises SUCK if you are single. SUCKSuCkSuck. The best alone vacation I've ever had was Reno. I treated myself to a nice room at a nice casino hotel. Rented a car that I really like. Came and went as I damn well pleased. Spent one whole night ALL NIGHT playing poker, it was fun. I talked to my friends ahead of time and got them interested, so I had people on facebook to share what I was doing with. I really had a good time.

Flew to Denver, took a limo to downtown (shop ahead, same price as a taxi), rode Amtrak through th mountains all the way to Reno... It was just something I'd always wanted to do. In Reno, I slept all I wanted in a wonderful king sized bed. Did room service once or twice. The casino had a decent few nightclubs. HAd a few drinks. Met some cute women on vacation and ended up spending some time with one there's a boost to the old wounded self esteem....

Make it about YOU. That's not easy to do when you haven't learned that skill. It will change you.

Joking, Dennis. I've actually been to a CO beach in Florida and it was honestly one of the coolest things I've ever experienced, mainly because it wasn't what everyone hopes to see at a place like that. It was people of all sizes and shapes, tossing their cares out the window.

With peoples permission you can take a pic. We took a pic in the giant hot tub with about 15 nude couples. The best part was a couple that was pushing 90 and were celebrating their 60th anniversary or something like that. You didnt want to look when they got in or out but it was very kool that they were living life that free at that age.

Definitely. See post #62. First time we went to Playalinda Beach in Florida (Canaveral Nat'l Seashore - which means you pay the Gov't to go to a nude beach ;-)) there was a couple next to us who were probably in their 70s. That's livin' life, my friends. Very cool.

You just hit the concept of these resorts. Some are Playboy quality, and some are not. Its not about "how you look" its about freedom, and if you gun lovers love your freedom with a passion, you might just like this. You'll get no more freedom than this.
