Does anyone eat fruitcake?

It is National Fruitcake Day!

I remember trying fruitcake when I was in grade school, and it was alright, but I don't think I've had it since then.

Does anyone here have fruitcake around the holidays?

I like good fruitcake but most is either fruit and goo, bitter, or hard enough to withstand hits from a 22lr.

I had one piece of fruit cake in my life that was actually good. All the rest I have had to choke down just to be polite. Wish I had the recipe for that one.

I love me some fruitcake. Every Christmas my wife orders me one from someplace in Texas IIRC. Good stuff!

Good Fruitcake is good. Unfortunately 99% of what you can buy in a store is not good Fruitcake. That stuff is just nasty.
