And to and insult to injury, all this trouble just get a YHM flash hider pinned and welded -_-

That's not a weld. That's where someone took a **** on the gas block. My almost blind, 72 year old mother could weld better than that.

Next time somebody wants a pin welded, PM me. Drill it yourself, and I am happy to TIG a little bead on there for you. It takes more time to pull out a stick of the fill rod from the tube than it does to weld it. That's just horrible!

I've seen worse pranks on gun forums. But, this work is so bad that it's nearly unbelievable, on top of that it's odd that the OP doesn't know who did it. I'm not accusing anyone of anything...it's just an odd one.

It is a good reminder to not jump to conclusions. It would be great to have a rep from the shop come onto the board to say something.

I think he's going to cut off the current gas block, install a two piece gas block, paint it and call it good.

Not that it matters because their work is still very bad, only thing he took in there was a BCM barrel, not a complete BCM upper.

It's not my barrel and I didn't deal with them personally, so I had to wait for my buddy to tell me the name of the shop.

Worst part is that they charged him $85 for the flash hider work!

he actually paid them??
