We have been buying some cheese that tastes just like the old commodity cheese to me.

I think it is the Kraft Deli Deluxe American Cheese.

It made the BEST grilled cheese sandwich you ever tasted. Put an 1/8" thick slice on thick sliced Wonder bread

Can't do that anymore. Unions killed Hostess and Wonder Bread (as well as my favorite, Home Pride butter top).

We used to get those big blocks of goveemint cheese. Good stuff! Big monster cans of peanut butter, too. Yum.

I can't remember what they called it in those days but we were glad to get it.
