Good looking gun.... The beavertail does look like it fits pretty badly.
I like em both. That's what is so great about 1911s, there are so many ways to customize it. Or you can have more than one!
I appreciate all of the comments. I'm still up in the air about it at the moment. I think I'll leave it for now as I'm planning on a raptor before too much longer and I'll leave that one all stainless and have this one a little different.
That beavertail grip safety looks like it's for a frame that hasn't been cut for a modern-type beavertail grip safety frame tang radius, either .250" or otherwise. Some companies make beavertail grip safeties for the unmodified GI frame.
the gs is a no fit, made to drop in to a pistol will G.I. tangs. I would can it and go with any gs with a .250 radius it will drop right into the factory kimber.

Maybe just Cerakote the original GS, SS and whatever else in black and put 'em back on?
dont get me wrong here I think the addition of the blued parts and the blackened logo are nice touch but the gs look like grade A Sh@t
