I don’t want to lay it anywhere. It’s a public health problem. It’s not a publicity problem or a political problem. The virus doesn’t give a damn about anybody’s politics and we should all acknowledge that.

Did he have the power to dismantle the Pandemic Response Team in 2018? Did he have the power to defund the program that oversaw disease research all over the world in the fall of 2019? Did he have the power to suggest that the White House should submit a budget to Congress on February 10th of this year that cut the CDC budget by 16%?
I don’t think so, but I need to do some more research.
At this moment he looks like a pretty good scapegoat.
You can’t have enough scapegoats when you’re Trump.
