I've wondered this for a while. How can people afford an iPhone 5, but they can't make their student loan payments, pay for health insurance, or on some kind of taxpayer assistance. I am really behind the curve on technology with the latest cell phone. I am looking for an average amongst our community here so I can get a sample.

And I pay right at $150/mo for 2 iPhones and 1 non smart phone for the Mother In Law with AT&T. I didn't know whether to vote for around $100 or around $200 because I am right in the middle.

About $175. That is for unlimited calling, text, internet, everthing for a portable WiFi device, 2 iPhones and my HTC EVO 4g. Sprint

$30 a month (which I think is over-priced) for a T-Mobile prepay plan. 1500 minutes talk/text and limited data. More than enough for my lifestyle. I had to buy the phone, a Samsung Exhibit 4G Android Smartphone, up front.

Ours is like $160 a month for my wife and I (Verizon). I regret signing the two year contract, it's not preventing me from fulfilling my financial obligations, but it does feel wasteful now...i think i'm going to switch to Straight Talk when my contract's up
