I believe you @HoLeChit. I’ve seen cougars up here around Hardesty and had one walk about 90 yards from me when I was Bowhunting near Shamrock, TX.

They weren’t black but I always believed that black panthers are around your neck of the woods.

I have seen and heard panthers in Oklahoma even in Edmond since I was a kid, and like most animals there can be a wild range of colors. A few black ones are not out of the question. I even have known a few rangers that will admit to it.
