My last visit to Oklahoma, I had plans to meet with two classmates. One showed up and the other did not. I sent the one that didn't show up a text saying we missed him. He replied today that he was at the VA with stage 4 kidney failure. I didn't ***** and moan, but expressed my concern and asked if he needed any help with anything.
The proper thing to do is complain, complain, then tell them to walk it off and keep their word. (My friends are all warped so they would find it funny)

Yeah, not sure why some people don’t understand crap happens. I don’t like those people. I much prefer people that handle it like you did.

Thats a huge exception.
I am talking about people who make plans with me and find something else they want to do at the last hour, without any warning.
Plans to get together and do a favor for someone and at the last minute they respond to a text and say, they decided to go play 18 holes of golf, when I had cleared my schedule to come over and help with a project or do lunch.
Even worse, offer to make dinner for a couple friends and spend my day smoking some ribs or whatever and 15 min. before time to eat, they say, aw we wanted to go see this new movie at the theater. (this has happened, once, never again)
If they are in the hospital, I'm not frustrated at all and I'll go visit if they want.

I’m pretty fed up with some folks canceling plans they helped make the day before.
Let’s take your boat fishing in the morning! See you at 6am!
6 am rolls around and they don’t answer the door nor their phones. 2:00 pm get a call that they stayed at the casino too late, just getting around for the day.
Let’s go hunting in the morning! I’ll pick you up at 6 am!
2:00 pm get a call. Drank too much last night, just getting around for the day.
I’ve written off a lot of “friends” that have done me that way more than once. Everyone can have a last minute disaster. I get that, but when it becomes a pattern, that’s an issue with me.
Probably why I hunt and fish by myself 95% of the time now.

At least a few here are smart enough to get it. LOL
I usually give anyone 2 chances then I'm done with that person for good.
Cant keep your word, I have no use for you.
1 chance to someone who wants to go out on MY boat fishing at 6 am and no shows.
Try a no show no call at work and see how many chances you get.
